Mobile * Radio - Product Definition Engineers
This is an engaging technical analyst role at specialist mobile communications manufacturer. Already highly successful across their international markets, the business is poised for substantial expansion as their markets move into a period of significant growth.
A key member of the product definition team, your focus is high level requirements analysis and specification of new capabilities and products - helping shape product development from the very initial stages.
Working closely with customers, product management, engineering and sales, you will be identifying and evaluating market requirements and emerging technologies, assessing their value, and recommending their suitability for inclusion within a diverse product portfolio.

Skills sought: Creative & innovative. Meet customer requirements in cost effective and elegant ways. Experience of requirements capture and producing functional specifications. Ability to obtain information from other departments. Assess trade-offs between development costs and functionality. Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to produce clear user-facing documents.
Background: Experience of layered communications protocols and real time embedded wireless products such as GSM * GPRS & TETRA handsets. Experience of handset technologies - e.g. wireless connectivity, web access, WAP, security, bluetooth.
